ABOUT THIS RESOURCEThis page is in developmentThis

This resource is an on-going collection of tips and tutorials that we hope will continue to be of benefit to students, but also to faculty and others in the learning community. It is a work in progress with helpful information we've found along the way as our course continues to evolve. We welcome your thoughts and comments and invite you to explore and use any of the information that you find here.

CSCI 1330, Computer Skills,  prepares students to collect, organize, analyze and communicate information in an academic environment. The hands-on use of computers and computer network resources is included.

Course content includes, but its not limited to, computing hardware, software, files and formats, text processing, numbers and quantitative analysis, information structure and retrieval, graphics and visualization, communication, networking and the World Wide Web (including designing and publishing web sites), computer ethics, privacy and legal use of software and data.

Because of the comprehensive nature of this course, the faculty has written and collected a number of useful tutorials that help students solve meaningful problems in each of these areas. These tutorials, combined with classroom instruction, prepare the students to master all of the  computer skills designated in the Common Curriculum at Trinity.
