Arrays are frequently treated as having a frame of length 1. With this frame, the array has cells of rank 1 less than the rank of the array. These cells are the items of the array. The items of a list are the atoms in the list. The items of a table are the rows in the table. The items of a rank 3 array are the tables in the array. An array is the list of its items.
