Family & Friends

My family and friends are a huge part of my life.  I am close with many of my relatives and have been  lucky enough to be able to spend a lot of time with them all.  I am also very close with my friends and share a lot great memories with them.  These pictures represent just a fraction of connections I have with my family and friends.

This picture is from my high school graduation party.  Many of my relatives came for the party, but only my Grandmas attended the ceremony.  This my Grandma on my mom's side, my great uncle, and my brother Andrew.

This is my Grandma and Dad.  She came for my high school graduation and then stayed in Houston with us for a few weeks.

I grew up in Edwardsville, Il and moved to Houston when I was ten. In the summer of 2007 I returned to the Edwardsville to attend my friends' high school graduation parties.  This is Katie my best friend, her mom, and I at the airport as I was about to fly back home.

Two of my good friends that I ran cross country with in high school also ran in college.  In one of Trinity XC's first meets, Jenna (far right) and I raced against Lara (middle) who ran for St. Edwards.  It was great to feel the old comradery mixed with a new sense of competition.

Here are some of my friends and I out for a late night at Waffle House.  This was the last get together before any of my friends left for college.

This is a picture of Sylvester my cat, and Buddy my dog.

Sylvester is currently 15years old.  When I was little he used to stalk me like prey and corner me on the stairs.  It always ended, when I started screaming at the top of my lungs.  With age, he has become quite a sweet lap cat.  He is doing pretty well and his days of hunting lizards still aren't over.

Buddy is now four years old, and the most loyal and best friend you could ask for.  After my old dog died, my mom and I drove all the way to St. Louis to get a new puppy during the week of Christmas.  The first night we had Buddy, he was so wild we almost returned him the next day.  Now he is well trained, and very sweet.  I take him to agility classes when I am at home and he also goes on some of our vacations with us.
