Class 10 Outline
Benjamin Harris, Reference Librarian
TU Library

Copy the 10harris folder to your groups folder. There is a Word file named Benjamin Harris that you may use to take notes during the presentation. Mr. Harris will talk about all the facets of the Trinity Library Website including the databases available free to the Trinity community.

In Class: Two spreadsheets introducing charts and graphs

Homework:

Part 1 - After you have completed your notes and are ready to do your homework, take your class's link to the Benjamin Harris page on our Wiki. Compose a college-level question about Mr. Harris' presentation. Your question should be multiple choice answer format with three possible answers. Format the correct answer in green, the "distractor" answers in red. Be clever, accurate and creative. Do not repeat a question as you add to the page.  Add your name at the end.

Part 2 - Ebook Spreadsheet

Go to the Trinity Coates Library website and do a search for books in full-text electronic form on one of these subjects:

Choose five books from those returned in your search to review briefly.

Look below - it works!!

Online Chat: Ask a librarian:

[14:04] meeboguest933915: What's the fastest or most straightforward way to get to a list of ebooks in our library?
[14:06] coateslibrary: Is there a book you are looking for in particular?
[14:10] coateslibrary: You can use the library catalog by clicking on the "Books & Media" section on Coates Library Home Page. Once to the catalog page, there is a panel on the right hand side of the screen and you can select Advanced Search to specify what you are looking for :)
[14:12]Thanks - it's for an assignment for my students - they are making a spreadsheet of electronic books and I wanted to give them both an example of how user-friendly the library staff is for providing answers, and also the best way to find an ebook on a particular subject - they will have four categories from which to choose
