Important
concept: You can make a webpage with many different programs - Dreamweaver,
SeaMonkey, Expression Web - and you can go back and forth among them to suit
your purposes. You can also hand-code inside or outside of these programs.
Important
concept: You can make a website complete with link, graphics and
content, but it will remain in a local folder on your computer until
you publish it to a web hosting service.
You may wish to purchase your own domain name first. Here is a list
of the
top15 for 2014 (and their fees) according to
Review.org
Work in Class using Google Sites, Expression Web or SeaMonkey to

Goals for today - this is your checklist of
things that should be completed by the end of class
- Have your website "skeleton" set up
with a home page (named index) and four other pages of your
choice
- Remember, your home page should be named index.htm
- Have an images subfolder
- Have hyperlinks between every
webpage on your site
- Have an imagemap with "hotspots" -
you may use this as a navbar or you may construct it for another purpos
- Have a table structure on
each page with pictures and text in a stable grid
- Have a link to your email address
- Have at least one thumbnail

called mywebusername
