Abstract:

Internet computer security is a problem of major significance, particularly considering the pervasive impact of the Internet on nearly all segments of the computing industry. Systems used in homes, education, business, and government are all susceptible to invasion. This introduction to computer security is intended as a starting point for further research of computer security issues related to the accounting profession as it deals with firms doing commerce using computer systems which are based on Internet technology. 1
