I'm a Chemistry Nerd...

I'm about a semester away from declaring my major, and I already know it's going to be in Chemistry!  I do chemistry with research with Dr. Urbach in the Chemistry Department, and I hope to continue doing so until I graduate! 

This graphic is a three-dimensional representation of how cucurbit[8]uril (Q8), a molecule with a large inner cavity that allows other molecules to fit inside of it, binds to two small proteins.  The Urbach Lab studies molecular recognition through Q8 and its ability to bind other compounds.  For more information click here.
