Shortcuts in Y: drive

• Display Class Web Page
• Copy 3ribbon folder from class folder to groups folder
• When you open a file and work on it, click Save to overwrite your original file

Note: Using a shortcut in the Y: drive is like taking a shortcut through someone's yard on the way home. Once you get where you want to be, it doesn't matter how you got there. The class folder and the groups folder are not on the Y drive.

The 3ribbon folder has two files in it.

• Office 2007 notes.doc is for you to take notes on today's class. It is for your personal use and will NOT be graded.
• Office 2007 tutorial.doc is for your classwork/homework. You will make a tutorial with screen shots of Office 2007.

Using Help in Office 2007

• Word 2003 to Word 2007 Command Guide to find out where help is in Office 2007

• Find out how to take screen shots (also called screen captures)

• Find out how to crop (also called trim)

Exploring Word 2007

Video Tour of MS Office 2007 - take notes on paper or in document in 3ribbon.

We will take a second look at the tour and you will begin work on your tutorial.

Word 2007 Tutorial

Open the Office 2007 tutorial.doc.
Type in your name, #, and class time.
Save and close.

Access the tutorial again and begin.

Take screenshots that of each of the following images. On the line after each image, write a short overall description. You will need to crop the screenshots.
