• Illustration 1:  To hide and show the Mecobre Chart Layer.  You can test for interaction by entering new data in Cells B11, B12, and/or B13.

Instructions on how to create the hide and show layers.

1. First create the workbooks and charts in Excel and save them into a master HTML document following instructions given at http://www.trinity.edu/rjensen/dhtml/excel01.htm.
   
   
2. Next read the master HTML file into Macromedia Dreamweaver.
   
   
3. Create a layer for each workbook or chart. Adjust the size and locatin of each layer.
   
   
4. Add buttons or other images for hiding and showing the layers.
   
   
5. Add behaviors to hide or show a particular layer and hide all other layers.
