1] Create a contact manager that can be used to organize contacts (people or companies). Select those fields that you think are appropriate. Subdivide the name into First, MI, and Last.
2] In order to get an 'A' or a 'B', the contact manager must be well designed and enable novice users to work effectively with minimal need to ask questions. Design the system for a high resolution monitor (1024 x 768) so that you have plenty of room.
3] The contact manager must include check-boxes for activities that can be used to organize the contacts. Activities might include Basketball, Chess, Bridge, Trinity, HighSchool, etc. Select activities that are of interest to you.
4] You must have at least two indexes that can be selected with a pop-up control.
5] Create a full report. Be creative in selecting other reports that might be applicable to your system. Make sure that each report always includes the page number and the date. Make sure that those reports that you do are professional is style. Use a pop-up control to select and print reports and labels.
6] Include those buttons and forms necessary to function well. All screens are to be professional in style. Try to assume that your user has very little computer expertise. Select color and graphic combinations that you would be happy looking at for 8 hours a day!
7] Select and maintain indexes effectively!
Include the following in your wire band binder.
1] A copy of this assignment sheet. Sign your name in ink at the top. Turn in only one per team!
2] A copy of the database structure.
3] A copy of Code.PRG and Start.PRG and all non-trivial snippet code.
4] A hard copy listing (at least one page) of each report.
5] A floppy disk that executes the project with Do A:/Contact/Start
