Individual Assignment

Set Netscape Margins [ Left = 1; Right =. 2; Top =. 4; Bottom = .4; Select Document Title,  Page Number, Page, Black Text, Black Lines]
1] You will need two people to complete this lab. You may do it with a room-mate, a friend, or another member of one of my classes. Download and Install WinZip. Installing WinZip Do this in C:\Temp if in TU Lab.

2] Download and Install TalkR. Installing TalkR Do this in C:\Temp if in TU Lab.

3] Configure TalkR. Using TalkR Include your Name, Welcome, and Answering Machine message. Use Paint Shop Pro to do a screen capture/dump of the Personal tab of the Options setup (similar to that below). Print it. Using a pen, write an "A" in the top right corner of this printout.

4] You must be connected to the Internet to get your IP Address. Connect to the Internet. Run ipconfig or winipcfg to find your IP Address; there is space for you to record your IP address below (if you like!)

5] Each class member must add a host. Use Paint Shop Pro to do a screen capture/dump of the your host configuration (similar to that below). Print it.

6] Establish a connection to your host. Type in some stuff.  Use Paint Shop Pro to do a screen capture/dump of the your chat session (similar to that below).
