In my opinion, Paint Shop Pro is the best paint package for the money. It supports all of the major graphics standards. It can be used for drawing and retouching. It can convert more than 30 different graphic formats. In order to download and install Paint Shop Pro, you must have an installed decompression program which will support .zip files.
"Paint Shop Pro is available as Shareware for you to try out for 30
days free of charge. If you continue to use the program after 30 days,
you must register it. You can obtain product pricing and also order the
registered version from this Web site. If you are ordering in the United
States, use the
U.S. Order Form.
If you are placing an international order, use the
International
Order Form."
2] If you are using Windows 3.1 then Select/Push version 3.11
3] If you are using Windows 95 then Select/Push any one of the three psp412.zip sites.
4] Select/push Save File button.
5] Select a desired download location. In the graphic above,
6] Netscape will attempt to estimate the remaining download time.
7] Note that the compressed Paint Shop Pro 4.12 contains 2.9 MB; it will not fit on a single floppy disk! Once WinZip has been installed, you may begin the decompress/install process by double-clicking on the psp412.zip icon.
8] WinZip provides us with several options. Select/press the Install button.
9] Select/press the OK button.
10] Select/press the Next button.
11] Select the desired location in which to install the software. If using a lab machine, select C:/Temp. If using your computer, select any folder you like. In the example above, I am going to install the software in the Program Files folder of drive E. Select/press the Next button.
12] Select/press the Next button.
13] Select/press the Next button.
14] Select/press the Next button.
15] Select/press the Next button.
16] Select/press the Install button.
17] Select/press the Exit button.
18] Maximize the WinZip application that appears in the Task Bar at the bottom of your screen [Touch the WinZip. psp41... button with your mouse].
19] Select/press the OK button.
19] Now that we have finished the installation, we have no further need for WinZip. Close it!
