About Importing Into SQL Server Management Studio

1] Some of you are/might experience a connection problem when attempting to use SQL Management Studio/Express.

1] The very first item on my Google Search led me to the following article:


Enable the Remote Connections On Your SQL Server 2005

1] Follow the directions

2] Start the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration
 

3] Go to the Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections [See Below!]

4]  Expand the Database Engine on the left - select Local and Remote Connections. Push the Apply button. Push the OK button. [See Below!]

5] Stop the database engine.  [See Below!]

6] Start the Database Engine.  [See Below]

7] The Microsoft SQL Server Management Express Now Starts.  [See Below!]
