One of our goals at Click2Learn is to host and resell thousands of high-quality online courses. Many of the courses we sell are produced by companies dedicated to developing online courseware. However, we expect the majority of our titles to come from people like you who have knowledge to share and want to profit from that knowledge.
We make it easy for you by providing the site, the customers, and even the free software for writing the course! Use our free authoring software to create a course, add it to the Click2Learn courseware catalog, and offer it to all Click2Learn readers. Then, when people take your course, you receive a check with your royalties.
Click2Learn provides all you'll need to create online courses:
- Free access to our exclusive "point and click" authoring tool and guides.
- Free storage of your courses on our Web servers.
- No software to install: all you need is a Web browser to author and manage your courses.
- Safe and easy order taking: we accept credit card orders for your courses using industry-standard SSL encryption.
- Money in your pocket: each quarter, we'll mail a check to you for 30% of the total purchase price for the courses that you authored.
Chances are you're not a professional educator, have never written a book or conducted a seminar, and probably don't have your own Web site dedicated to teaching a skill. That's okay. The only prerequisite for creating courses at Click2Learn is the ability to complete the following sentence:
"I'm an expert in ______________________."
Great! Now that you have a course topic, you're ready to proceed through the steps of creating your own Click2Learn course.
Here are the typical steps for creating a Click2Learn course:
Step 1: Register with us, and check the "I want to create courses" box at the bottom of the registration form.
Step 2: Complete the course description form, including the course title, description, and price. If you're not sure about some of the items on the form, you can return to the form later to enter missing information and make other changes.
Step 3: Use the Click2Learn online authoring tool to create the course. This is the fun part!
Step 4: Publish the course with the simple click of a button. Your course will then be available to all Click2Learn visitors.
There's one more step that we don't think you'll mind: cashing your royalty check each quarter!
