In 2017 my Website was migrated to the clouds and reduced in size.
Hence some links below are broken.
One thing to try if a “www” link is broken is to substitute “faculty” for “www”
For example a broken link
http://www.cs.trinity.edu/rjensen/Tidbits/IndoorPlants/IndoorPlantsFavorites.htm[RJ1]
can be changed to corrected link
http://www.cs.trinity.edu/rjensen/Tidbits/IndoorPlants/IndoorPlantsFavorites.htm
However in some cases files had to be removed to reduce the size of my Website
Contact me at
rjensen@trinity.edu if you really need to file that is missing

Set 02 of My Indoor Plants Favorites in Our Cottage
Bob Jensen at Trinity University

The pictures were taken inside our cottage in the winters
I'm strictly an amateur photographer
If a bright light appears in a picture it's usually the reflection of my flash on the window glass
Sometimes the lens is zoomed making objects appear closer

On May 14, 2006 I retired from Trinity University after a long and wonderful career as an accounting professor in four universities. I was generously granted "Emeritus" status by the Trustees of Trinity University. My wife and I now live in a cottage in the White Mountains of New Hampshire ---

Our address is 190 Sunset Hill Road, Sugar Hill, New Hampshire
Our cottage was known as the Brayton Cottage in the early 1900s
Sunset Hill is a ridge overlooking with New Hampshire's White Mountains to the East
and Vermont's Green Mountains to the West

Here's the view from my desk this time of year

During winter the gardens beside the cottage and our outer wildflower field have no color
Here's a picture of how bleak Erika's rose garden looks in the winter season.

And sometimes early snowfalls bury our window boxes before we prepared those boxes for winter

Here's the most color in my life in any season

We look inward for color in the winter seasons
My secretary, Debbie back at Trinity University, sent us the bulb for this plant

Those are dolls and not grandchildren in the background

A rose is a rose is a rose

This plant between the elevator shaft and the window must be divided soon

There is a tiny bit of color outdoors beneath the snow

And there still is color in each sunset and each sunrise

I see from my house by the side of the road
By the side of the highway of life,
The men who press with the ardor of hope,
The men who are faint with the strife,
But I turn not away from their smiles and tears,
Both parts of an infinite plan-
Let me live in a house by the side of the road
And be a friend to man.
Sam Walter Foss (1858-1911)

Forwarded by my friend Jagdish Pathak at the University of Windsor in Canada

The lines of World renowned Poet and also a Nobel laureate, Rabindra Nath Tagore.
He wrote (copied from Wikipedia English translation of original Bengali poem)

If they answer not to thy call walk alone,
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou unlucky one,
open thy mind and speak out alone.

If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness,
O thou unlucky one,
trample the thorns under thy tread,
and along the blood-lined track travel alone.

If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm,
O thou unlucky one,
with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart
and let it burn alone.
