Set 02 of Renate's Pictures From Germany

Bob Jensen at Trinity University

In this picture Set 2 I feature some photographs sent to me by Renate who lives not far from Kempten in Germany
We used to visit Erika's older brother, Rudi, who lived with his family in Kempten
Rudi is now deceased, but Erika is still close with his widow and grown children
We met Renate on one of her many visits to Sugar Hill where we live in New Hampshire
Renate and Rudi never met, although Renate has since met Rudi's widow

I took this photograph of two lovely grandmothers during one of Renate's visits to Sugar Hill in New Hampshire
Renate is on the left; My wife Erika is on the right

Renate's chalet has a great view of the high mountains
This is a watercolor that she painted

This is the real thing

Note the mountains in the background

Although Renate is a retired veterinarian, she's not what I call old --- born after WW II
Interestingly she spent many of her childhood summers in Sugar Hill, NH less than a mile from where I now live
She visits Sugar Hill quite often in her retirement
Renate has a motor home and tours all around trying to take interesting photographs of her beloved Germany

Germans were and still are more energy efficient than most of us in the USA

Renate loves to photograph festivals and parades

There's even a boat named after Renate
