Finally got a reply -- apparently my first message wound up in a Junk
folder, and the contact person is at a conference this week, hence a
delay.

The CLT (formerly IMS) does indeed have digital camcorders that students
can check out for course projects, from their front desk. There are 4
cameras in all, and of course they have to be shared with the rest of
campus, so probably best to plan for a possible delay in getting one.
I'm checking about whether you need something signed by an instructor
to do this.

They also have 4 Macs that have iMovie installed, where you can do
video editing. The CLT has someone who conducts workshops showing
people how to use this stuff, but she's away at a conference this
week. She says she'd be willing to set something up for early next
week, though. If that sounds interesting, please let me know ASAP
and I'll start working on scheduling. Or she says that it's an easy
program to use, and many people pick it up on their own.
