[CSCI3294] using the Mac OS X machines -- a request

I have mentioned using the department's Mac OS X machines as a
way of getting some exposure to one UNIX-but-not-Linux system,
the point being to get a sense of the ways in which it's the same
as Linux and the ways in which it's different. (I mentioned one
of them in Homework 1 -- the "date" command has different options.)

However, it appears that some of you may not be able to log into
these (Mac OS X) machines -- probably those of you with accounts
created this year. I'm talking with the other admins about how
to work around this, but it would be helpful to know who's affected.

So. Could all of you please try to log into one of these machines
("ssh Pandora01", or if it seems to be down, as reported by ruptime,
try Pandora02), and tell me what happens -- do you get logged in,
is your password rejected, or something else?

That will help me know what problems need to be resolved. Thanks.
