First Day of Class1

Jeffrey D. Oldham

2000 Jan 11

Thank you for taking CS1321 this semester.

Because my paper is being presented at the Symposium on Discrete Algorithms, I cannot be with you today.

Today's activities include:

1.
As a class, you are responsible for implementing and timing Fibonacci numbers using three different algorithms. I eagerly await hearing your report during the first eight minutes of Thursday's lecture.
2.
Please read the class syllabus, especially the sections on collaboration and academic violations.
3.
The first homework is available at http://www.cs.trinity.edu/~joldham0/1321/hw/hw1/.

I return to San Antonio tomorrow afternoon. Thursday, we will talk about the class project. I look forward to seeing you then.
